If there’s one thing that defines a Bald Head Island wedding, it’s the blend of charm, challenge, and coastal magic — and Jessica and Andrew’s May celebration had all three. Set against the backdrop of the Bald Head Island Chapel and Marina Park Pavilion, this day was as breathtaking as it was unforgettable.

Nestled beneath live oaks with the lighthouse peeking through the trees, the Bald Head Island Chapel offered the perfect coastal-chic setting for Jessica and Andrew’s “I do.” With soft light filtering through the windows and a sea breeze drifting in, the couple exchanged vows surrounded by their closest family and friends — a timeless start to a day full of heart.

The celebration continued just down the road at Marina Park, under a beautifully styled tent overlooking the marsh. A palette of vibrant coral, citrus, and soft peach tones popped against creamy neutrals and natural rattan details. Lush floral arrangements, cozy lounge groupings, and woven textures created a warm, laid-back luxury vibe that felt perfectly Bald Head.
Signature cocktails featured fresh citrus garnishes and local touches — a nod to island life and Southern hospitality. As the sun dipped below the horizon, guests enjoyed dinner, laughter, and dancing under the soft glow of woven pendants and string lights.

Bald Head Island weddings are known for their charm — and their logistics. No cars, no bridges, and everything arriving by ferry or barge. But on this morning, the unexpected happened: a mechanical issue halted the barge, leaving an entire box truck of rentals and florals stranded on the mainland.
By 8:30 a.m., our team went into full triage mode. Phones rang, vendor friends rallied, and within minutes, we’d arranged a private water taxi to make three separate runs to get every single piece — from lounge sets to bouquets — across the Cape Fear River. By 12:30 p.m., everything was back on track.
The best part? Jessica and Andrew had no clue.
While we were orchestrating a behind-the-scenes rescue mission, they were sipping mimosas, laughing with their bridal party, and soaking in every joyful moment — just as it should be.

When guests look back on Jessica and Andrew’s Bald Head Island wedding, they’ll remember the laughter, the colors, and the breeze off the marsh. But for us, it will always be a story of teamwork, creativity, and calm under pressure — proof that when you trust the pros, your day stays perfect, even when the unexpected happens.
